For the first two episodes of Season Two, a warning chyron appeared on screen concerning the use of a blade guard when operating a table saw. What has become the ubiquitous "...let's talk about shop safety," and concluding with "…to wear these, safety glasses," began with the first episode in Season Two.

The safety speech was done outside the shop before even seeing anything but the finished project and included video of an operation on the contractors saw.

Field trip was to Old Sturbridge Village in Massachusetts.
