Tell me what you think. The top picture is the actual OSS in the NYW. Compare it to the one on the bottom. I think they're the same machine with a different logo and a different switch. However, I now think Norm's is probably an Enlon (see Update below). Enlon, an importer of Taiwanese tools, renamed themselves Star a few years ago. Then I thought Star went out of business, however I briefly found a web page for them where I got the bottom picture, which I've been displaying for some time. This is a nice looking OSS, and Norm uses it frequently. My original thought was that his is a little more gray, although seeing the two of them together, I think the color is nearly the same. Maybe it's the TV image that throws it off a little. Even though I think it's probably an Enlon, I don't want to go back and retitle all the links. Update: good things come to those who keep looking. I was reviewing a FAQ at the NYW site and came across this: 11/27/99, Question: Would [sic] tell me the make and model of the oscillating spindle sander Norm uses in his workshop? Answer: We have two, a bench-top version by Delta called "The Boss" and a floor model by Enlon (now Star). I don't know how I missed that all these years. Appearances:
