Whenever Norm uses a dado blade he has one kind or another of a dado insert in place. Usually when he does a ¼" dado he uses the melamine dado insert. When he makes wider dados he usually uses the old dado insert he's had from the beginning. I've never kept track of the uses enough to list them, but when you have a question about it at least you can see a picture.
