This crude-looking yet fearsome tool is used primarily in renovations or deconstruction. The handle, with substantial mass, slides on the backbone of the tool in order to drive the head with the hinged jaw into the wood below the surface of the nail head. The tool is then pried against the hinged jaw to forcibly grip the head and pull the nail from the stock. Norm uses it with salvaged lumber to remove foreign objects which may have been detected by one of the several electonic metal detectors he has used. Appearances: Episode 0111 |
