There may be more questions asked about this tool than any other. Porter-Cable introduced this miter saw in the early 90s. It features a laser that projects a cut line onto the work. It was expensive and apparently didn't sell well, so they discontinued it. It has achieved legendary status, however. Like the K-body clamps, I doubt this will ever be replaced.

Well, as of the 16th Season, it looks like I was wrong. Russ Morash revealed in an interview that the electronics had failed after a local storm and now there's a new (Delta) sheriff in town. Apparently there was enough demand that Pentair had reintroduced a laser miter saw in both Delta and Porter-Cable livery. The difference is the price—they're now very affordable.
