I've had a feeling I might have missed Norm using a dozuki in a previous episode or two, but it was clearly seen in this one. They're really nice for making an extremely thin kerf cut. Like other Japanese saws, they cut on a pull stroke instead of a push stroke as with Western saws.
This isn't necessarily the exact model that Norm used, but is representative. There are lots of dozukis on the market; none of them branded, that I know of.
