Fruitlands, in Harvard, Massachusetts, was a brief experiment in communal living founded by Branson Alcott in 1843. The grounds were purchased, in the early 20th Century by Clara Endicott Sears and opened, along with three other museums, as the Fruitlands Museum. The building pictured was the office building for the Harvard Shaker community. It was the first Shaker museum. Appearances: Episodes 106 |
